  • Good Job ART....
  • Way to go Art, glad I was able to help you a little along the way, that set has always been my favorite fooball set. One of the best to flip for cards with the bottom color sections. Love the Matt Snell card with the watch on his wrist!!

  • Nice job Art. Congrats!!
  • Thanks guys for the kind words. And yes wolf i still fear the FUZZ. In the case of 68 football though i think mike at nearmint will be they king someday he has almost 20% of the set in nines right now.Speaking of Mike i want to thank him personaly for working with me on this set. He is a class guy and has 1 heck of a web site,One of the best going in my opinion.Howard thanks as well for those cards that made there way up I95 .Also mark aka treetop tossed in his share.Well i win try to upgrade it a little but i think my attention will shift now to finishing my 67 philly set and my run of vintage redskins. And last but most important a big thanks to the king of 60,s football MR FUZZDUDE HIMSELF for leaving me 1 set i did not have to battle him on ,YET ANYWAY image BY THE WAY STILL HOPE TO HEAR FROM MY FELLOW CARDBOARD FANS WITH SOME GREAT CARDS TO OFFER ME FOR ANY OF MY SETS PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AND FILL SOME HOLES OR UPGRADE WHERE NEEDED.
  • Oh the sarcasm is just killing me here.
First of all, I did realize we were now taking 7's. Maybe there is a little room to squeeze through to the top. I didn't like 68's (or 69's for that matter) when they came out. I haven't warmed up much since then. I don't have a single 68 in a slab nor a raw 68 that is worth sending in, even under the new rules.
If I continue to collect for several more years, then maybe, just maybe, I will get to the 68's. But don't hold your breath. You'll probably see me on those Philly's long before then. This is your head start.
Seriously, conrats Art on a great set.
    Fuzz
PS. Is it your turn to win the 66's this year or mine?
Wanted: Bell Brands FB and BB, Chiefs regionals especially those ugly milk cards, Coke caps, Topps and Fleer inserts and test issues from the 60's. 1981 FB Rack pack w/ Jan Stenerud on top.
  • I am mighty proud Art, mighty proud of that set, CONGRATS!
It shall go down in the FB Card Set HOF.

    Art,

    First off, congratulations!

Second, I once started building this set and gave up since I was spread so thin over so many projects, so I have a lot of respect for you completing this set. I know it isn't an easy one to complete.

    Hey Art

Great job on a tuff set. It's nice to know a couple of my old cards finally made it into someone's number one set. Good luck on your other sets... except for (cough) the certain years that you see my name in the mix too.

    Hey Fuzz,

Didn't we all agree at the last meeting that it was my turn on the 66's. Oh that's right you were on vacation... I'll have Davalillo forward you the memo. He'll carbon copy Peachfuzz on the Philly sets too.

..... now if I could just find all those Mint 9's I had laying around here somewhere.

Great job!! Those last few cards can be a bear to get. I'm stuck on my 72 FB missing like 4 or 5.

    ART,

I was gone this weekend so I am late in saying WOW!

SUPER TUFF set here folks. I think many collectors fail to realize how hard it is to build some of these FB issues.

220 cards, no problem? Go for it. Try the 55 Bowman FB set, only 160 cards.

I would wager that you could build most baseball sets before you would get one of these finished.

    ITS TUFF!

    Congrats ART!!!
