Do any of you think that copper spots give a gold coin character?

Copper spots occur on gold coins naturally. It's not like the coin was messed with in some way and subsequently developed spots (like a bad dipping).
Since the copper spots are natural, I think I could appreciate them as such. Recognizing them for what they are, I think they could give a coin some character. What's your opinion?
