I was thumbing through Joe's book and there it was - take a look at the '48 Leaf Feller card. How on Earth did that get an 8?

However, I have to admit that the Feller card is might off center for an 8.

Here's a 1954 Banks Rookie PSA-9 which is OC 80/20 top to bottom.

High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
I don't have exact measurements but I've seen plenty of 9's that I wouldn't have in my set because of poor centering. Worse than most of the 8's I see out there for some reason.
Anyone else observe this?

I have one. I PSA 9 that I estimated at 78/22. It is otherwise clean and I paid less for it than SMR for an 8 at the time. I have thought of re-submitting and taking the insurance but then I would have to buy another "9". It is on my list to replace albeit at a low prioirity. My scanner is still in the box and I do not have a few hours to work it all out at this point but if you will send me an email address, I will be glad to make you a photocopy and mail it. OH GOD, How low tech.

On the other hand, I measured as best I could from scan, and I get 62/38 L/R and 68/32 T/B, both within "legal limits" for an 8.
