Odd arrangement of quarters received in change...

I went to the vending change machine in the basement to get a soda. I stuck a dollar bill in the changer because I like feeding the soda machine coins after I have a chance to look at them instead of just giving it the dollar bill. I got my four quarters and looked them over and though, "how odd is that??"
The dates on the four quarters were: 1971, 1981, 1991, and 2001.

It's never happened that I know of but it's actually possible to get in a row with the same mint mark...
'68-D, '78-D, '88-D, and '98-D
This is the only possible way though since the mint marks were altered in '68 and '80.
<< <i>Those are very long odds ... any mathematicians out there? >>
Such a combination isn't overly unusual really. Noticing it is! The toughie is the '71 but nearly one coin
in 150 in circulation will be a '71 so it's just not that unusual.
NGC's got to be on their best behavior now, but I'm sure PCI would
<< <i>Maybe NGC will slab them together as a "Vending Machine Set" >>
Dunno...I'd have to get the vending company to come out and open the soda machine and let me sift them out. I think the odds of that are far less than finding them together the first time.
