Anybody hear of "PIC" - Private insurance carriers

I bought a $57 coin on eBay (the seller only charged me $1.75 for S/H) that had a note attached:

This parcel has been insured by PIC 16000 Ventura Blv Ste 814, Encino CA 91436

I grew up in the valley so that address seems like a mail drop to me.

Has anybody ever heard of them? There is no phone number, but if they are cheap it would beat waiting in line at the post office.

I've received EBay purchases insured by them. Here's their web site.

We've used them for years. I great company to deal with. Affordable insurance; promptly paid claims; much less paperwork than the PO.

I don't use that particular company, but I use one similar out of Florida.

Seems high depending on how many you ship. My premiums are a couple thousand dollars and I ship at least 100K/week via express mail. If I'm reading this right, I'd have to charge real high premiums to do the same with this.

For collectors, they can ship to me a certain way and are covered under my plan which means they merely pay for the Express mail.

I guess it's ok if you're only shipping from time to time...
