Anybody ever seen these

They look like some kind of commerative from the Sapporo Olympics, any idea of what they are worth? IF you want to make an offer I would love to find these a nice home!!!

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Never seen anything like that. Are they supposed to mimic commemorative stamps that may have been issued? image Not interested in buying them, but I'm sure some eBay-er would take 'em off your hands.

A quick run through of the JNDA catalog doesn't turn anything up, not that I can do anything but look at the numbers and pictures image (boy did I look smart leafing through that at a coin show in Hawaii). I just can't tell you whether that is a mint product or not--there was a 100 yen coin for the year though.

  • They are Sapporo Olympic commemoratives, made by a company similar to the Franklin Mint, which has itself issued medallic copies of postage stamps on occasion. The large inscription inside the cover reads "Sapporo Winter Olympic Commemorative Medal". The smaller one reads "Authorization number SOOC-Y-129", indicating that it's issuance was under the authority of the Sapporo Olympic Organizing Committee, and it was an "official" item.

Very nice, but just not my image.
