Sorry for this self serving question but what would you Washington quarter guys think this would sell for?? I just got some Modern grades and I made this baby. I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm not a quarter guy but this one screamed send my away for a 2 month vacation in sunny California!! Thanks!

Well, the PCGS priceguide says $175, but I'd say you'd have a very slim chance getting even a fraction of that.

Nevertheless, congratulations on making a 67. I have no clue what its "real world" value would be.

I tried a search of completed eBay auctions but got no results. Maybe I didn't use the right keywords.

Still, 67s are hard to come by. I think you'd get over $100 for it. Only because it's in a PCGS holder, though.

In regards to your 1971-D PCGS MS-67 25c, with a current pop-
ulation of (now) 27, I think your coin would bring $100/+ on an
    e-Bay or Teletrade auction.

What are other avenues for selling high-grade modern circulation
    strikes for top dollar?

  • The most recent Teletrade auction of a MS67 1971-D was $140 in September the most recent after that was in 2001 ($190)

The '71-D is one of the most available clad quarters in superb and choice gem. It is not nearly as
easy to find in lower grade gem and choice condition as most of the clads. Rolls of this date are
very rarely seen and are usually mint set rolls when encountered. Superb specimens of this date
often have a very rich deep luster and PL's are relatively common. I'd guess about 2% of original
mint set '71-D quarters would go MS-66 or better.
