Do you ever wonder why..........

people just can't leave well enough alone? Slab explains it all. I thought so when I got it so cheap and no one else had bid. Thus sending it to ANACS for grading. It certainly has uncirculated details, should have graded a 64 at least.

This is one problem you can run into with Raw on ebay. Pictures are deceiving. I am still willing to take the chance every now and then as I have came up with some great coins at a great price.

Pretty typical of what you get when you buy "BU" coins raw on eBay. There are those who rant on and on about "buy the coin not the holder" but the problem is a lot of this stuff is cleaned garbage. Even if they have a return policy, by time you are done paying the shipping both ways, and "restocking" fees if any, you lose. There are a few out there that sell honest raw coins, but trying to find them among all the junk is a real chore.

I learned a long time ago not to buy raw coins on ebay.

I agree K6AZ, thats one reason I wanted to post this one. A coin can look to have really good details in pictures but the coin can still be cleaned. This one should have not needed to be cleaned as it already had MS details. Thought this might be good for the newbies.

    Might as well image !
