This is the only business strike Washington quarter I own, and the only reason I own it is because it's so pretty. I couldn't resist it when I saw it.
Screaming blast white surfaces and stunningly beautiful lustre. (Do all Washingtons come this way?) Not a speck of toning anywhere. Two reeding marks between the forehead and LI in LIBERTY. A big edge nick above the eyebrow. A smaller nick high up on the head under the E, one far down on the base of the neck above 9 in the date.
Fields are essentially pristine.
All the folks I've showed this coin to says it has the eye appeal of a 65, but enough marks to be a 64... except the marks aren't in the middle of the coin or fields where you notice them.
