Apparently I've wasted my time and was of no interest. Won't happen again.

Imaging technique makes a huge difference in appearance, especially with toning. Straight on vs angled to the light, same coin.

    Stman,

Last month I ran a rant thread after my last coin purchase at the time about what a difference accurate pictures make showing the pic of my coin from the dealer who sold it to me and contrasting it with a pic of the same coin from where that dealer had purchased it several months before, I also asked for other forum members to post their examples of similar situations.

Something that I think dealers don't want to except is this is costing them money by not taking the time to get it right the first time.

I've heard that there are to many coins and not enough time, but if you sell 4, 5, and 6 figure coins for a living don't you think it would benefit you as well as your customers to always take the time ? When I say "you" in this example I mean any dealer not just a particular dealer.

I like the coin in either image. The first shows the outstanding contrast and makes it obvious that it's an "all there" DMPL Morgan. The second shows the nice colors, and still shows that it has strong mirrors. I think with a Morgan like this, where it's tough to capture color and contrast in the same image, a dealer would do better by providing both types of images at the same time.
