Anyone Ever Consigned Coins to DLRC?

moosesrmoosesr Posts: 1,966 ✭✭✭
I was thinking about consigning some coins to DLRC instead of putting them on eBay and wondered if else had experience in doing this? Would it be less hassle for the same or similar profit? Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated?

Thanks,

    As for DLRC vs eBay:

    * less hassle
    * less %-age of return
    * different lessons learned (there's a lesson to be learned in whatever option you chose)

    I sold a couple of coins on consignment with them about a year ago. I agree with EVP. Less hassle, less money. They handled the situation professionally. I told them what I wanted to get. They added their markup. I don't know what they sold for, but I got my cash pretty fast.

    If you know what you have, you can usually do better (get more) selling them yourself than selling to a specific dealer. And from my own experience, the same dealer never pays the strongest price every time. One day they pay strong, next time they pass, next time they lowball you. Just takes more work to find the right fit.
