Anyone got any good images of the reverses of all the Proof Platinum Eagles? The only one at the mint is the 2003.

2000 and 2002 need swappin'.

The scenes progressed from east to west.

The 2000 should be the mid-west farm scene and the 2002 the west coast scene.

I like the idea of the reverse changing every year. I guess if you can afford platinum, then you deserve a little change of scenery every year.

It actually wouldn't be too expensive to collect a set of the 1/4 oz ($25) proof coins.

Yep I am thinking of doing the 1/4 ounce proofs.

I've gotten the $50 (1/2 oz) each year from the mint.
I went with that size for a couple of reasons.

1. I wanted a large coin to show the landscapes, but the 1 oz was too exspensive for me.
2. I believe that the premium on the 1/2 and 1 oz were the same. (It gets higher on the smaller coins.)
3. The 1/2 oz coin has the lowest mintage.

The reverses are some of the neatest you'll ever see. The '99 is unique (and one of my faves) in that it's the only US coin with a gator on it!
I got them slabbed last year and got all 69DCAMs.

My 2003 is on it's way from the mint. Hopin' for, at least, another 69!
