Kobe PSA 10

I have a Kobe Bryant PSA 10 2000-01 Topps Chrome Refractor, and the Beckett guide or the PSA site doesn't list Kobe at all, what do you think is card is worth?

  • Boy, that's really tough to say. There's been a few recent threads touching on the difficulty in pinning down values of game-used/insert cards you might want to check out. The two most important factors to consider, in my opinion at least are that 1) too few of any given insert card get submitted for meaningful statistical data to be collected and 2) for a superstar player especially, there will usually be a small handful of people willing to pay much more than everybody else for a given card of that player. The second factor obviously doesn't mean as much if you're not planning to sell the card. Either way, these two reasons make it difficult to come up with a meaningful number other than actual individual sales, and the second makes it difficult to predict whether prior sale prices can be realized in the future.

On the bright side, your card is a 10, and it's Kobe, and I think it's reasonable to expect the card to command a premium over a raw copy based solely on that. What that premium actually is then becomes the tricky part.

Put it on ebay. Start it @ .99 cents and in 7 days you will know what it is worth
  • and let me know the item number...no but seriously, have you tried the smr on-line guide? Also, try scd sometimes they have cards that were not listed but are in the guide...either way I think you have a nice card and it will realize you some profit...well, unless he is found guilty that is..... and his basketball days are over..
