Home World & Ancient Coins Forum

I guess I'm more well known on the World and ancient coins forums

I posted a few times on the US part forum and got no responses. People seem alot nicer on this part of the forums. I guess part of the reason is because the US part gets much, much, more posts than this section of the forums. What Im' trying to do is get a complete set of every US coin ever made. (Late 1700's to modern time era) of every domination. The cloest I've gotten to is the dime domination. I've gotten all the times in US history up to the capped bust. I cannot afford the orgional bust, and in no way could I afford the rare disme dime.

I'm trying to get a seated liberty quarter, but for the sake of staying on topic, I'll talk about what else I'm trying to acquire: Any and all british soverigns from any mint location.

I was surprised when a friend of mine said there were no silver or copper soverigns made. I was mostly certain that no copper ones were made, but I've seen some silver soverigns on this site. (I guess they were commemeratives). If anyone has some old silver british coinage, (I'm very much into any kind of british soverign), the coinage doesn't have to be a soverign, could you give me a PM and tell me how much you want for a silver british piece of that time era?

Thanks!

PS.( I'm not as familiar as with british coinage as I am with US coinage. I'm looking for all silver british coinage including soverigns from the early 1900's and before. I really don't know if older british coinage was made out of silver. )

    LINK

Here is a link that gives a list of all British coins for the last three hundred fifty years or so. And some approximate prices.
There are no silver soverigns only gold. Good luck.
  • Thank you. Since I'm really into british coinage, I guess I'll start with silver british coinage. From my favorite time era, (early 1800's to late 1800's). If anyone has one piece of silver britian coinage for sale please let me know. Nothing fancy, just one piece of silver british coinage from early 1800's to late 1800's. It'll be my first silver british coin . image
  • You both gave me the same site, must be a good one image

I looked though, its pretty helpful, but I'm really looking for a member on these forums who has a spare britian silver coin piece for sale, a common one, from the early 1800's to the late 1800's.

I'm have some copper coins from britian already and am working on getting some silver ones image
