    Laurent, they're both the same denomination; 2.5 shillings = half crown. The first is from England, and the second from South Africa. I think Wybrit is trying to show us he's finally stepped into a darker zone of the Darkside!

    The British one is one piece of artwork! What a high grade coin!!!

    To the best of my knowledge, the 1952 British halfcrown is found in the British Museum. The second known example, a circulated piece probably VF, I think is in a private collection somewhere. I read a story in one of my very old price guides about it being found in change by a chap named Horace Burrows. One of the dealers in London I met mentioned he had handled that same second piece and "put his fingerprint on it."image

    In other words, this is a coin I'll never own.
