1986 Topps Nolan Ryan PSA 9

Just found this one on eBay:

1986 topps #100 NOLAN RYAN astros psa 9 1-4

Currently at $49.99. Any guesses on what it will end at? My guess is $120 and change.

Then I found these ones:

1986 Topps Nolan Ryan #100 PSA 5 EX - $0.49, 0 bids
1986 Topps Nolan Ryan #100 PSA 7 NM - $0.99, 0 bids

    Justin;

    There was a BIN for $150... and Adam Menossi passed on it to put his bid in (deigo1)... I know he's desperate for one, but I think he may top out around $100. He knows I paid $75 for mine last year... what do you think?

    Here's my take, if anyone cares about my opinion:

    1986 Topps are abundantly available. That said, high grade (PSA 9 and 10) raw cards are few and far between. I have looked at enough of these cards to know how tough they are to find in Mint or better. I would not pay that much for a PSA 9. I would, however, pay a good deal for PSA 10s. I just received a PSA 10 from the 1986 Topps set in the mail (thanks Matt image). It definitely presents better than almost any other 1986 Topps cards that I've ever seen. The 10s will be rare, but 9s will be abundant in the future. Hold out for a better deal. In fact, I'll check my Nolan Ryan pile of cards and see what I have worthy of submitting - maybe a 9, definitely not a 10 or I would have already sent it to PSA.

    Good luck.

    JEB.
  • I remember back when first cal ripken psa 10 from this set hit ebay. I think it went for around 3 c notes, with a few board members in the hunt on it. 86 Fleer looks like it may just as tough as topps to crack a high grade card from . Pop report shows in 86 topps 22 10's out of 1200 and 86 fleer 77 10's from 2000. Anybody have any luck busting 86 fleer.....................
