Got mah chain today

Small local show. Walked it 4 times and then saw this waaaaay in the bottom of the case.
Okay, it's only a G 4 but I never had one before. Not even in the shop.
Really hard to shoot the pic. Finally got it. Think it shows the ..... h i n t..... of date.
At least at the molecular level.

Is it slabbed with the chain on the front? I always thought that would look best, especially on a lower grade specimen.

Nice lookin chain!, great addition even in a good for that type of coin. Prices keep climbing on this coin with bid/ask now at 4750/5250, you cant buy a decent one with out shelling out some serious dough.

I kinda don't think it wudda been there if he had put that reverse side up.

S'why I bought it. The obv. is actually not bad but the ONLY way it looks good (GOOD?...heh) is with every reflection of the lighting glaring off the plastic.

But that reverse has that dark and light pattern USUALLY on a VF. (It's ....FAR.... nicer than the pic)

I like basic rare coins.

Affordable and scarce.

Now cut me some slack when I replace my icon coin next month. At least for a LITTLE while.

Usually the PCGS price guide is super inflated on a lot of better stuff, this time they are way off of CDN values it appears.

How come most chain cents have such a strong chain on them? It seems like there isn't much wear on that area for some reason. Is that series a little concave??
