Are some dealers trying to gouge collectors on gold coin prices ?

With the money from a recent coin sale I wanted to buy a nice type date saint in 65 at the show going on all weekend in my area.
Their wasn't all that much to chose from but the pieces that were available for the most part seemed way over priced. One 28 that I looked at in 65 the dealer wanted 1600 for it !!!
I did find one dealer with 3 saints priced between 1100-1150 in pcgs 65, the one I chose was a 23 D and I got it for 1125 and it was every bit as nice as that other dealers more common 28. He said he paid 1500 for it, yeah right
