  • Nice acquisitions. I really like the 85, and the rainbow on the 83 is catchy image

Looks good. I'm not a very big fan of toning, but I like the last oneimage

Ken: The Morgans are nice and the dalmations are cute ... Really I do like the natural pastel tones on the Morgans. The 82-S looks like a 62 to me, the others are probably 63's (perhaps a couple of shot 64's (1887 & 1885).

A nice group of original raw Morgans. You had a good day of shopping! image

Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

  • Awesome set! You want opinions? Here is mine:

1887 - The strike is one of the best I've ever seen - and your pics are *really* good at showing the toning around the rims. Luster looks awesome also.

1885-O - I'm betting that the blues show better in hand on both the obverse and reverse.

1886 - the strike looks weaker, but the obverse toning looks great, and the luster on the reverse...I have to look away. image

1881-S - The obverse looks a bit marked up, but I'm betting in order for you to get the beautiful colors to show that the marks look worse than they really are.

1883-O - I have not seen a Morgan with these colors before. Great eye appeal - very nice!

You did well for yourself this morning! image

Great pics, nice coins, no duct tape? still using natural sunlight?
  • no duct tape? still using natural sunlight? ...No duct tape. Yes, still using natural sunlight. Fixed myself up an area inside a southerly window and use the diffused sunlight. It's working pretty well! Thanks for all the opinions.....Ken

Those are nice finds. The 81 s though not the highest grade of the bunch is the eye catcher for me.
    Very nice

    Nice pickups. I think the 87-P grades 64. The 85-O could 66...maybe. The others - 64 and 63 for the 81-S...I'm afraid
the 83-O looks AT to me...but I'm not expert here.

Ken - great coins and pics. The 87 is a monster. The 83O I may have a few concerns over - but overall excellent pick ups! image
  • The 83-O looks great in hand. All of these coins are going to my raw set......Ken
