Coin Facts has less facts

I have used the CoinFacts.com site in the past as a great reference tool, especially when looking for information about a specific denomination / date / mint combination. It's easier to flip over there than pull out Breen's encyclopedia, and the images are cool.

I was flipping through a red book and saw a pic of the 1872-S half dime with mint marks above and below the bow. Since this was the only year that the mint mark was put inside the wreath, I got curious and decided to learn why they did that. I turned to CoinFacts, and when I clicked on the link for the date, there was scant info, noting on the mint mark placement and this note:

More complete information is available on the CoinFacts CD-Rom, including:

I know they have been selling the CD, but I've never found a link that does not provide the information online. Looks like someone is pushing CD purchases.

I don't have a problem with this - it's their intellectual property and business decision to start charging for this info. Just a bummer that it is no londer available conveniently online. Unfortunately I was a loyal user of the site and won't be visiting for the detail I used to seek there.
