Should I cancel this bid????????

LINKY-POO

Bidder has private feedback and is in Taiwan. Auction clearly states I will only ship to US and Canada.

  • Maybe he is from Taiwan, not in Taiwan image

    I'd contact him first.

Cancel the bid. Private feedback is a sign of trouble. If he complains, tell him ebay rules allow you to demand assurances from bidders with questionable feedback.
  • I wish I could arrange some kind of funky lease deal with you for this pattern image

I have had this idea before - collecting images rather than coins. It's cheaper, but the fun is nowhere near image

I am collecting images of all my collection (except the fillers). At some point, long before age really sets in, I will be selling the stuff. It will be nice to have the images after the coins are gone. So in this case, it can be fun to collect them.

My wife is really encouraging me to collect images!image

I agree with others that you should cancel his bid. To me a private feedback is BIG trouble!!

My wife actually encourages me to collect coins. She's always saying 'bid on it' or 'buy it'.

The violation of your shipping restriction certainly justified the bid cancellation. When I want to bid on an auction that says no shipping to the US but I have a friend in the approved zone, I always e-mail the seller and advise that if I win, I will provide an acceptable shipping address. I've never had one of those bids cancelled.image

Did he change his settings after you cancelled him? He's showing up in your cancellation notice with a 100% postive feedback of 25, total 40 including NEN and at least one other seller I've dealt with.image

He must have changed his feedback from private to open but he never answered the email I sent him.

  • What's the book value on this?

I know a 3 mark like this in a NGC PR65 sold by Great Toning for over $200.00 awhile back. But there is no Catalog with prices for these that I know of.
