On United States coins, if you hold the sides (By the edge) and flip the coin top over bottom, you will see the breverse side right side up.
Is this the same rule for Canadian Nickels?

If both sides are upright in relation to one another, it's generally referred to as "medal rotation".
Canadian coins after (and including) 1908 have a medal rotation. That's when the Canadian Mint started operations.
Of course, there are exceptions to this rule.
