Picture doesnt match the product

Here's aProductI bid on and had the quality of the replica been as pictured I'd gladly pay that amount.

However, here's what I recieved:
image
Low quality, the fine text is blurry and unreadable and the serial number is different to boot

email from guy after I confront him about it
"It truly amazes me how some ebayers can be!!!
I am not going to go back and forth, back and forth on this.
I never meant to mean that you were going to pass these off as real.
What I am alluding to is that you bid on these knowing that you were getting a replica, simple as that.
Why is it that everyone else is happy???
I think because you put the amount of money into this is one of the things that is bothering you, expecting to get something more like the real thing.
No, I did not get these pictures out of a book as you say I may have.
I got these from my vendor who provided me with these notes.
If I wanted to pass less than what I auction for off, why is it that I have the feedback as I do.
I am not about to start doing something wrong NOW.
As far as I am concerned, end of story.
I am sorry you are not happy, but you placed bids knowing these are replica's and there is no valid reason for me to continue on this.
IT IS AMAZING AGAIN HOW SOME EBAYERS CAN BE!!!
As I said, if these were too good, The Feds would be here.
If you want to get pesty about this, with all do respect, that's you're problem.

Respectfully submitted"

Seeing that he refuses to give a refund....
I want to know how to time it right to give him a negative and not recieve a retalitory negative.

Sorry, but I don't think you have a beef. He started the auction at 75 cents for a fake note, and you chose to bid it up over $50. He's right. What did you expect? The real thing?

In addition, there is no mention of a return privilege. This is something you should have clarified BEFORE bidding.

Forget it, you can't snipe feedback. Feedback can be left for more than a year after an auction, and I have done it.

If this guy misrepresented the item, and refuses to give you a refund, he deserves a negative. Just be sure to know that you'll probably get on back in retaliation.

Hey, the serial number, L1087A, did not match with the ebay photo, G1A. He must send you a wrong one image

How do you leave feedback after 90 days?

Is the fake in the actual size of the real note? If it is it would appear to be a counterfeit that could get you into big trouble. Why are you bidding on this type of material?

What Russ said. He clearly says it's a replica on the auction, and has no return policy.

  • Not trying to be mean here, but why the hell would you pay $50 for replica note that that's not worth the paper (or not enough of it I might add) to wipe your a$$ with? And, why would the serial number or image matter on a replica in any case?
He clearly stated what the deal was in the auction. I'd have to say, you don't have a valid complaint.

As he states it's exact size. I placed it on top of one of my large size notes and it's the same size. This guy could get into trouble for printing and selling these. Why did I bid $50? For the same reason the other guys that bid that high on those auctions did. We thought we were getting a high quality replica. I was expecting a high quality replica with all the words readable like the signatures and the writing under them as well as the "this note is legal tender" to say something different like this note is not legal tender or this note is a copy. It doesn't.. I have a 100,000 gold note replica that says "This certificate is legal tender in the amount thereof in payment of all debts and dues, public and private. On the other notes that isn't readable it's too blurry. The damned things don't say COPY, REPRO, REPLICA or FACSIMILE anywhere on them. Then this guy wants to piss me off, he could be in trouble.

A full color actual size copy of a legal tender US note with no attempt to chan images or text, and with nothing in large print on it marking it as a copy? This note would definitely be in violation of both the counterfeiting laws and the hobby protection act. It doesn't matter that he calls it a reproduction, it is as illegal as if he put a note on a color copier and ran these off.
