GSA Morgan question

Besides historic interest, is there value to buying GSA Morgans, e.g., likely they'd be un-dipped, original skin Morgans.

they are supposed to be undipped original skins, i woul d keep them in the original holders and unopened if you can.
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

    Mike,

I've often said that the GSA hoard represents one of the last places that today's collector can go to find 'original' Morgan dollars.....those that haven't been thumbed, whizzed, dipped, artifically toned or otherwise monkeyed with by the coin doctors.

In 20+ years of handling GSA dollars, I've found only 3 or 4 holders that had been tampered with and they were easily identifiable.

Plus you get a personal note from Richard Nixon.
