I might be exaggerating, but......

is it me or is now a great time to buy a psa 7 mantle, mays, etc.? my premise is the reality that guys seem to be chopping them up at an unprecedented rate, in order to send them to Pro, and pawn them off on the unsuspecting/cheap/greedy collectors. basic laws of supply and demand plus the fact that the populations are being actively destroyed, says there just aren't going to be many around in the future. I'd love to know what true pop reports of mid grade vintage HOFers really is. am i correct, or am i just falling into a doomsday scenario these boards seem to foster??????

    Anytime is a great time to buy one, if you want one that is.
    Good for you.

    duner;

    Since lots of that trimmed PRO sh*t doesn't even sell for the price of a PSA 7 (speaking of mantle), it's probably too risky and cost prohibitive to buy that grade for altering. I bet they're going after the 5s and 6s and rubbing out wrinkles and cutting down corners on those instead.

    I agree with Con40.I think that he hit the nail on the head.I am sure that they are buying lower grade cards with problem corners and chopping them up.

    Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.

    I also agree with Con40. The 7's and up in PSA holders are probably safe (too expensive for these con artists to buy and crack). They seem to be concentrating on the lower graded, less expensive cards for their artistic endeavors.

  • it makes me sick. psa 5 and 6 's that are well centered are VERY appealing and in some cases the only mantles regular guys have a shot at.
