Help with identification please

WondoWondo Posts: 2,916 ✭✭✭
First, I apologize for not having a digital image, but here goes.

The coin I am trying to identify is an Idian looking cent with the date of 1865 with 13 stars around the obverse. The reverse contains no words or numbers but pictures four intertwined flags with a drum at their bases setting on two crossed cannons.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Sounds like a Civil War Token to me. Maybe one of the CWT experts can confirm?

Definitely a Civil War Token, but exactly which one I wouldn't know.

    Thank you, Folks. image

I cruised the web (I am a land creature) looking at CWT's and although I have not located the exact piece, this certainly must be one. Thanks again.

  • Is this what it looks like? Just saw this on ebay. Civil War token just like the other guys thought. Sorry, don't have the link.

    MPeter,

That reverse is the same but the obverse has an IHC bust with Liberty and stars. I was wrong, my kids told me the date is 1863 - I hate this getting old crap!
