It's not my coin - was sold by Mike Byers. Double struck in collar. Makes me dizzy. Early proof errors are so cool.

The reverse doesn't appear to be doubled so apparently the obverse die shifted between strikes. Quite unusual.
Take a good look at this dime!!
Nice V Nic! That is really cool looking.
All I've got is a 1982 1c that I pulled out of change that year with a huge cud from a die chip that obliterates most of "TRUST" on the obverse. Pretty cool, especially since it was a circulation find.

<< <i>Airplanenut - In case you didn't know, your indent strike is a 1973 cent. Don't need the date to tell those. >>
Cool... how do we tell?

Heh! I could tell you to buy the book to find out, but you already have I'll be nice for everyone else (just joking here, eh?)..
The 1973 cent is a one-year reverse type. The designer's initials are much larger than on any other year of the Lincoln Memorial reverse. Since yours has these larger initials, it has to be a 1973. This info will be photographed and featured in the 1973 section of the book so you can see side by side what the differences are between 1972, 1973, and 1974 cents.
