Poll: Is this toned Morgan Pretty or Ugly?

I'm posting this poll in response to a debate in another forum. Keep in mind I really lit this one up to capture the bands of color, and the white area looks harsh and beat up, when it really isn't. I would like to know what people here think of it.

Somewhere in between... I think it's a little too dark for my tastes near the rims... but still has great eye appeal... would probally appeal to me more if it was completely toned... but still attractive, nice Morgan K6AZ

I was one of the people that voted half and half. I say this because toned Morgan's like these may have beautiful toning, but in my mind's eye, I cant get away from the bag marks. I've seen many gorgeously toned Morgans, but if I focus more on the hits than on the toning, I lose interest.

Definitely * for the grade, even if that grade is only MS62 or so. The thing I like about coins such as this, besides the obvious color, is that you know the surfaces are original. A large percentage of pure white coins (and of course toned coins of the AT variety) have been played with, resulting in washed out looking luster.

Morgan Bullion coins and banded rainbow coins don't do a whole lot for me, but each to their own liking i guess. as for the coin's white area looking beat up, those marks are really on the coin. you can't expect to exaggerate one area---the color---without also exaggerating any others. i always enjoy a picture which depicts the coin as it actually appears, a true image rather than an enhanced image. to that end, i appreciate online pictures because they reveal what poor lighting hides. what your asking for is an opinion of enhanced color so any responses aren't really legitimate. this is much like the eBay auctions with doctored pictures which are criticized so often here.

my vote is a combination of the two, pretty ugly.

Keets, I've looked at a couple toned Morgans before and I have no doubt the coin looks just like the image. K6AZ IMO takes some of the best images I've seen on the Internet.

Edit to add.... I believe when K6AZ mentioned he "Really lit this one up" he was referring to light used and not color enhancement.
