A public thanks to Dr Michael Fey

I know that a number of members don`t like pushing dealers but, this is something I feel enthused about. I had a brief e-mail exchange with Dr Michael Fey that I like to share:

Him:

My name omitted:

I received the money order today and the coins will go out tomorrow AM. The Morgan is awesome! Peace dollars with color are pretty rare and this is a nice clean specimen.

I hope you enjoy!

Best wishes,

Michael

Me:

Hi Michael - Hey thanks for the E-Mail and thanks for sending out some
really nice coins. Most people would tend to keep them. I`m not an
advanced collector and consider myself still fairly new to coin
collecting. But my tastes are getting alittle better. My budget is small
but, I still like quality. Thanks again!

Him:

No problem ( My name omitted ) ...quality is always the best option. What looks good to you will likely look good to others and the next potential buyer.

I think attractive original color is like owning a piece of art.

Enjoy!

Michael

So thanks again Dr Fey and thanks for being one of the good ones!imageimage

Lets see what we have so far.

A coin dealer received a customer's money and sent the customer the coins he ordered, and was polite in the process.

Is there a punch line coming?

Unless the moderaters nuke my post, It`s staying. Sorry to upset you guys. Alot of dealer threads around here is to dump on them. I`m sorry you guys can`t apprieciate someone having something good about dealers for once around here. The only punch line are people criticizing a compliment ( at least an attempted compliment ) about a good dealer.

    CCR,

I guess I just found it odd that you thought it noteworthy that a dealer acted in a professional and courteous manner. Believe it or not some of us have had similar experiences with a host of dealers. image

The good Doc bought a couple of PCGS MS65 Buffs off me last year. He's always willing to chat. That's a nice attribute, but seldom encountered in our hobby. Thanks CCR for bringing up your good experience!

From the " dump on the dealer " threads, Not all of them do. Feel free to go back into the archives.

<< <i>Believe it or not some of us have had similar experiences with a host of dealers. >>

I do believe it. There has been a few threads that have given praise to good dealers ( Mark Feld and David Lawerence comes to mind ). Again, feel free to explore the archives.

I thought ( at least not in your eyes ) that I`m letting people know that there is one more person out there that they may not be aware of that is a good dealer. I hope this clarifies things for you.

CCR: Thanks for calling our attention to the fact that you've had a positive experience from Dr. Fey. I admit that I was not aware that he was also a coin dealer. I only knew him from his fame as the co-author of the Oxman & Fey Top 100 Morgan Dollar Book.

I always appreciate it when fellow forum members provide positive feedback on ethical and helpful coin dealers -- Thanks!!

Thanks Stuart. I don`t/didn`t take the comments personnally and stated my intent of this thread. I expected that I maybe challenged as to my intent.

manofcoins - as stuart pointed out, that is the site in which I ordered from. I just came across that site a couple of months ago and ordered from him once already with good results. Now with this second order, I`m pretty excited in anticipation.image
