Do a web search for Sacagawea designs. There's lots out there and most are better than wht the mint chose, IMO.

Being of Native American heritage myself, I was excited when the design was approved. However, the whole concept was a little half a$$ed. Haven't we learned by now that a dollar coin isn't going to work until the penny and paper dollar are eliminated? Please, give us our due but put it back on the nickel!

Sacs are awful. It's not the design, its that cheap alloy. "golden dollar" --I think that gold should sue.

Not only that the metal they struck this coin from is terrible. You breath on it you've tarnished it. I love the concept but would love it more if it were struck like a big dollar and in a different metal!!!!

the coin is pretty, but it doesn't keep its color at all....the mint should've and could've done a better job on it

I never did like the design Modern coinage is so sad. They are to wrapped up in the meaning behind all the art on the coin instead of the beauty of the art There can be beauty and meaning at the same time.
