PCGS has just graded 75,000 State Quarters since the program started in 1999. Over 6,500 State Quarters were graded in the last 30 days. It looks like interest in the State Quarters is increasing as we enter into the second half of the program. Good hunting.

    Thanks for the info.

It will also be interesting to see if there are any promotions or sales in the near future.

Donn: Good information. At 6,500 graded over 30 days, you are looking at roughly 78,000 coins per year (unlikely to continue at that pace though I believe). And, just 75,000 coins in 4+ years have been graded! Yes, that is a great deal of coins going through PCGS this past month. I have personally handled thousands of fresh PCGS state quarters this past month in the grades of MS67 - MS69. There have been a few surprises to be sure , but, for the most part, difficult coins have remained difficult even after this massive submission of coins. For example these 6,500 freshly graded coins (thus far) resulted in:

    1. No MS69 state quarter for year 1999
    2. No MS68 state quarter for year 1999 for DE(d), PA(d), NJ(d), NJ(p), GA(p), GA(d).
    3. Just -1- MS69 quarter for all of year 2000 - all states and mint marks.
    4. Just a handful of MS69 quarters for all of year 2001 - all states and mintmarks
    5. No MS69 state quarter for any year, any state from the Denver mint.

MS67PLUS - You are correct. My bullet points pertained to the recent fresh 6500 coins - they yielded no additional MS69 Denver coins in any year or state.
