Thats what the auction note said. Can anyone tell from this picture if this coin is worth bidding on?
I'm new to coin collecting and not sure what to think of this coin.
Current bid is $111 and I'd like to own one.
Any input is appreciated.

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't an optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me....
Sounds like I should steer clear of this one.
What to do
Seriously, if there's a NQA return and you're comfortable with the price, I'd take the chance. You can always have it looked at by a reputable dealer within the return priviliege grace, and if you're not happy, you're only out the S&H.
Not too long ago I bought a raw 1901-S barber dime from an eBayer who thought it was a very nice coin. He wasn't a collector and admitted as such. The pics weren't the greatest, but I took a chance. After receiving and examining it I discovered it had been cleaned and polished. I returned it to him with my explaination, requesting refund for the coin only. This guy was so honest he not only refunded for the coin, but my original s&h as well.
There are good and bad deals on paybay. If in doubt, write them. If they don't answer and you're in doubt, steer clear. If they give vague or unsatisfactory answers, steer clear. If they have a NQA (no questions asked) return policy, it 's likely worth a chance in many cases. Reading the feedback never hurts either. Although, that's not always an indication of the seller's ethics, as several ebayers and even members of this forum have received negative feedback strictly on a retalitory (or inappropriate slamming) basis.
