what should I do?

I have a bank roll of 62 Frankies (cant tell if it is Dor not, they are face ends) and I am tempted to open it and submit them for grading. Should I? By the way, both ends are pretty much black, but I can still see the coins perfectly. What would you do?

  • I'd crack them open and take a pic of the best two and get opinions from the people here. There are a couple of Franklin experts here that can tell you if they're worth slabbing.
  • 1962 is a really hard date to find any gems in. The last time I checked there had only been around 100 MS65FBL's graded. Unless you're willing to forego a little bit of profit, I'd open it and get the enjoyment factor of it. You might be able to tell something from the end coins. If they're beat up, it's likely that the coins within are pretty much in the same condition. If they are nice, then you might get lucky and find a few good ones.

Bust 'em open with extreme care and post good close up pics of the finest few and the end coins image

Crack them open and post a pic of the best two.
  • I'm in the same situation with rolls of 1957 pennies, dimes, and nickels.
    Coins, shiny coins!
  • I will probably bust them this this weekend and post some of what is inside.
