Collecting cards as a way to learn geography

I don't know about you, but I've been to places in the South KC metro area that I have never been to in my entire life in search of Topps Heritage Retail boxes!

Yes, there are plenty of Quicktrips here. Do they have the retail boxes, or just the individual packs? Yes, I went to six stores this morning and the very last one, a Target in a little town just south of the KC metro called Belton, MO had two boxes.

The problem for me is now a gas/mi thing - my pickup eats gas - may get cheaper to just pay extra at the card shop - but that takes away from the hunt!

The only problem I have with the individual packs is they are 8 cards and the packs in the retail boxes have 10 cards (I think they have 10 cards, now I'm second guessing myself), plus you get the free pack with the retail box. So basically, you get 110 cards for $30 in a retail box or 80 cards for $30 in individual packs.

My bad, I just checked and the retail box packs also have 8 cards. Maybe I will pick up some individual packs too. I'm about out of Walmart/Targets/etc. My trip to Belton yielded a couple of cards I need and a black retro Randy Johnson. I still have one box left to open. That makes it worth the extra drive.
