Any ideas about this Lincoln?

JRoccoJRocco Posts: 14,277 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have 3 different examples of this Lincoln reverse all showing what appears to be a ghost image of seated Lincoln between the 4th and 5th column. These are all VLDS examples. Is this just a die break?

Definitely not a die break - more likely die clash marks left by Lincoln's neck from the obverse. In certain years this is extremely common while in other years it's just common. Either way, not much if any value except to someone who would specialize in such things.
