What's with these eBay sellers? First the F/VF 90-CC "MS63" and now this "cameo". image

I think the seller was referring to the acronym CAMEO:
    Contrast Absent Mightily, Especially Obverse

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

You piqued my interest with this strange looking Morgan so I just had to buy it and see what it REALLY looks like. I'm like that, if I see something strange I'll buy it just to see what it looks like. I've bought from this seller before so I'm pretty sure it's no scam so when I get it in about 3 days I'll post a good picture. Wish me luck!
ps for all you aspiring snipers just check the bid history and see how the big dog does it. heehe

Hey great snipe there "Big Dog." I see the bidding was wild and fierce right down to the last second. You had a lot of competition and you pulled this one out. This is what separates the men from the boys. Great spirited bidding and congratulations. What did you win?

A coin is unlikely to have deep mirrors if a grading service won't even acknowledge the coin merits a "prooflike" on its slab. BUT, PCGS does make mistakes. Hope it is better than the pix.
    I brake for ear bars.
  • WOW an 1881-S ...............in 63 no less

I would have given you some real snipe competition if I could a coin like that

don't get a change at those very often

stman asks: What did you win?

I dunno stman, looks like a regular ole common low grade 81-S with a fingerprint under the chin. It's not like I'm expecting deep mirrors or a PCGS mistake but it looks like it might be kinda frosty. It's a strange looking picture though, I just had to see & +plus it gave me an excuse to keep my sniper skills honed to a keen edge. Something to do on a Saturday night. image

    You're a strange one dog.
  • Dog97 - Congrats...I think. Just so you and all other board members know, if it looks like the pic when in-hand (or, heaven forbid, worse!), I disavow all responsibility from bringing it to your attention.

    Hope it's a 65+ with a horrible pic!!
