Missed was no series in 1994, and 1995 Braves. Interesting note, before 1996, Yankees has no wins in 15 years, last one before that was 1981.

they didnt win in '81, last win was 77 and 78, they lost in 81 in ALCS in KC. If there was no strike in '94 they prolly woulda won that year they had best record in MLB at the time of the strike,

Netsfan i'm pretty sure the Expos had the best record in 94 I might be wrong but i know they were either 1,2,3 cuz that's when baseball in Montreal went south.........

Yankees were 1/2 game better than them at the time, montreal was 74-39, yankees were 74-38.

THe yanks lost to the LA Dodgers in the World series in 1981.

Yanks were in series in 81 lost alcs in 80 to kc.....played dodgers in 81 split season setup......year the boss had a fight in the elavator i think..........81 was also the yr reggie got hit in behind with throw and tommy lasorda freaked....

WinPitcher...actually the year that Reggie got hit while in the baselines was the '78 World Series (not '81). Actually the 1981 World Series was unique in that while the Dodgers won, there were 3 MVP's in that series (i think they were Baker, Yeager & Cey). Also unique was that Yankees' pitcher George Frazier lost 3 games (something tells me he was left off Steinbrenner's Christmas card list that year!!).
