My first 2 cents

I live in Lake Havasu, arizona. There's no coin stores in this small town. But a few weeks ago I went to an antique store and they had a few coins. They said the vendor that was selling them would give them more coins soon. So today I went back, and saw a few good coins. Several silver morgan dollars, 3 rolls of wheat cents, and then something caught my eye; a 1865 2 cent piece. It was in a cardboard holder that had plastic in the middle (where the coin was held) and the grade was(although I'm not sure what "TMC" is): TMC-34.
It looks like its in at least VF condition. In the "In god we trust" motto, only the high point of the "we" is completely worn smooth. On the back the details of the wheat stalk is very vivid. Its a great coin ..
It cost me $15.00. The seller also gave me a free 2001 coin price guide and inside it it told me how to grade my own coins. Its great!
My real question is, what does tmc mean?

Agreed. If the planchet is good, (no porosity), and it hasn't been cleaned and/or recolored, you got a great deal at $15.
