Bidder does not understand how Buy-It-Now works

I just received an email from a guy who does not understand that when I have a BIN of $60 he cannot expect to get it for $40. He states that he just placed a bid. He obviously hit the BIN button. He stated that I should go and fix my listing.

I emailed him back and told him if he does not want the card at $60, just go back and cancel his bid. I am waiting to hear from him.

    I know a seller can cancel bids. Can a seller also cancel BINs?

    I think the seller now has to file a no-sale.

    that way the buyer gets no warning from ebay, and the seller gets no fees charged

    this happend to me last year when they change the ebay page layout, somehow i hit the buy it now,

    I paid the seller the listing fees

    This has happened to me as well only mine came on a $7,500 BIN. It was done “by accident”. One way to alleviate this problem is to require an “instant payment” option. For low dollar stuff it works. I believe it requires the buyer to pay via paypal right after they BIN. After doing so their bid officially shows up.
