PSA 7 1971 Topps Bench On Ebay

Bench

Wow, I have not seen a PSA 7 Bench from the 71 set attain this mark. I purchased mine a year or two ago for slightly under 50. However, I can say that the Bench, together with the Rose and Munson, receive very strong interest in this set. I take great interest in auctions such as these because I am building a 7 or better 1971 set. As I have said before, 7s should be treated like 8s from this set and this is an example of such. Will be interested to see where this one ends.

I'm sure it's due to the centering. This card always seems to be off centered or visually unappealing centering.

It's a nice one and I need one too, but I'll wait.

This underbidder has been very active as of late. Wonder if he's a newbie or a buyer just using a different buying ID.
  • WOW ! I can't believe how high that is. I got my 1971 Bench in a seven for around $65 six months ago. Is this card in that high a demand or is it because this copy is a high end seven?

  • My guess is that it was because it appears to be a high end 7 with good centering. Plus, Bench is always pretty popular. However, I was shocked it went for that much and $157+ for a high end 7 still seems very expensive to me. I have seen 8s that have not went for much more than that. The SMR is really off on the PSA 7 Bench. I have never seen a PSA 7 go for less than 150% of SMR.
