Loading personalized icons for username only today!

I guess today (15th) is the only day that customized signature/user name icons can be uploaded. Can someone please provide a brief instruction on how this is to be accomplished. Thank you.

I just checked and it looks like you cannot upload any new icons as of this moment.
  • Thanks. When the time comes where we can upload, what do I do? Another user provided the following, but I am not clear on step #7:

    1. Go to the testing forum.
    2. post a new topic and down at the bottom click on "attach files".
    3. this will open a new window, which allows you to upload your image.
    4. after uploading, select the image on the list of files uploaded &click on attach.
    5. post the message (you need a subject line & text in the body, too)
    6. click on your new topic. Down at the bottom of your post is theattachment. Click on it. This goes to the page where your image is.
    7. Now you have the link to your image stored on the CU site, which youcan copy and add to your profile. That should do it.

I always just saved an image from the web to my hard drive...and when I was able to upload the image...it would let me search my hard drive for the pic I wanted.
  • Again, thanks. Hopefully the last question: how do I know when the system allows me to upload?

Go to the bottom of your profile. They will enable a "button" that
will allow you to upload your own icon. I believe there are size limits
also - 10kb and no bigger than 100x100 pixels. The easiest way is what
John said. Just have the image stored on your pc and they'll allow you
to browse for it once they enable the ability to upload icons.

Well, this stinks. I am not giving the option of loading my own, just taking one of the preloaded ones. Any hints? Do I hav eto have 100++ posts or something?
