steel penny ...why do they look so brown? edited to add link!!

Bad pictures or do the steel ones turn that brown? If so, is it hard to tell from a copper 43 and a toned steel?

The high-grade steel-coated-zinc ones should not look brown at all. Here's one of mine:

A real 1943 copper penny is worth thousands. A fake one .10 cents.

You can tell the difference with a magnet. The fake ones will stick to a magnet, the real, expensive ones not.
