U.S. Mint first day state quarter coin covers

Any chance that these first day coin cover quarters are producing better quality coins?

Better then rolls or mint sets?

At $19.95+shipping, it is quite a high price to experiment with a quality question.

I lost interest in these a while ago. I had better coin uses for $20 than 2 SQs. It didn't help that the mint "found" some extra Delaware covers in storage and sold them - hammering the market value of the Del and Mass cover from $200+ right back to $20-$30.

  • I got one for Ohio when they came out....quarters look pretty much on par with mint set quarters

And no, the quality isn't any better than you'd typically find in a fresh roll.

ill disagree, as Ive been thru alot, and found some serious gems. Just the 1st 2 years were awful regardless
of where they came out of.
