STUPIDITY IN ABUNDANCE!!!!!! HELP!!

I purchased one onf those type sets that comes framed, quite a few years back, I never took them out just left them in the frame, not thinking any thing about it....I just took them out dusted them off, thought I would put them in my new intercept sheild type set book and could not believe my eyes....they placed the coins into individual holes in a cardboard sheet and on the back side, some moron actually taped the coins to the cardboard!! Can you believe that s***??!?!?! Big ol' peices of scotch tape right over the coins...how do I remove the sticky stuff left on the coins from the d*** tape without doing anything to the coin? HEEELLPPPP!

Calm down snapmohr. Just soak them in some acetone like Baley said & the tape will soften up and remove quite easily.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • How long do I have to soak it? One coin inparticular the 1943 steel cent doesn't have a mark on it, it is a dang beauty!! Boy am I ticked !!
    THanks for the help all!!

It might take 2 hours or it might take 2 days. Depends on what kind of tape it is and how bad it has dried out over the years.

  • GOO GONE Dude! Removes grease, gum, stickers, crayon & tape. I use it to remove
the nice little stickers the conehead dealers put on slabs. Works like a charm and is not harmful.
