1876-CC twenty cent piece doesn't count???

Why isn't the 76-CC twenty cent piece included in the registry set? It's not like it's the only expensive coin in a finest known set. All the other coins in the set are five figures in the top grades. Makes no sense to me. What am I missing???

It's probably not included as there are only 12 examples graded by PCGS and it's a extremely low mintage coin.

Is this the last time a 1876-CC 20c sold? If so, it would be very hard to find one for that price today..

No. A so-so MS64 sold for around $250k last year.

One for sale at next year's Richmond/David Lawrence sale. MS64 NGC. They estimate it at $125K

STEWARTBLAY - I'd be even more bored if I collected MS twenty Cent pieces. I'd only get to buy five coins. That's why I'm working on a Darkside set that will contain at least 3000 coins by the time I'm done. I suppose that makes me bored AND out of my mind!

Stack's sold one for $131K in Oct 16, 2003 sale. I'd like to know the fool who bought the MS64 for $250K. I don't believe it...
