That Barber is No Lady!!!!!

I was reading through some posts the other day and ran across one about Liberty coins being female. When it was mentioned that Barber coins were questionable I was shocked. Barbers can't be ladies---then went on the hunt for proof. Barbers have that very classic Roman/Greek look to them. At this point my art background kicks in and I go look for Michelangelo's David. Now it's up to you to decide:

    Its the same mug that is on the Morgan dollar, minus the hair and facing the other way, that Barber was one creative guyimage

    Barber's art training was probably based on studying the classics. The similarity was probably a result of his preference in models being based on that classical training. The "ideal" models of the late 19th century had a different look from what we would expect to see today.

    The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

    I never considered the Barber series or the Mercury dimes to be female.
