Hmm, maybe you should offer to buy it with a Sacagawea dime.

I thought about doin a birthyear set but I was born in 1975. Only three coins with 75 stamped on them...kinda lame LOL

I wish I were born in 1861. That would be a cool birthyear set.
  • Nice looking Eisenhower Half!! image
  • I guess that it would be a pop 1 coin! image

Seriously, though. Go back to 1867 and collect those. It makes for a more
    interesting set!

I thought about going back 100 years from mine, but I want really nice looking and, well, the 1868 IHC was going to cost too much when there is so much else going on image

Nice thought though....so would doing 100 years pre-birthyear AND birthyear together.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • I would put together a birth set, but I was born in 1793 and the Chain cent is a little out of my price range... image

Actually, 1909 would be a pretty cool one, IMHO (especially if you did all the mints/varieties). It would include:

    - 1909-S VDB
    - 1909-S Indian cent
    - Indian quarter eagle, half eagle
    - St. Gaudens double eagle

plus lots of Barber coinage (which I like, but not everyone else does...)

Maybe I'll start a 1909 set anyway, just for the heck of it...

Same here, '75. Only 3 coins huh? That's what we get for being born in '75 imageimage

Ike only wished he had that much hair.

Maybe its a Piefort coin, very limited edition coin. Twice the thickness and double face value.image

'75 isn't that bad! There's a mint set and proof set and two each of the cent, nickel, and dime.
You can also include the '76 type I Ikes since all of the circulation issues were minted in 1975.
There are various ARBA medals which could be included also.

While the US version is pretty short, there are some great coins of this date. The Philly dime is
one of the worst made clad dimes so finding a choice example will prove a task. The P nickel is
available with full steps, but is tough to find. Both cents can be elusive in gem but can be quite
    attractive.

There are worse birth year sets.

  • Pretty careless of ANACS to put an Ike dollar in a half dollar slab.
