Anyone interested in Blue sheet prices 6/1989 ?

I've got the Mint State type and gold type.

I carry both a blue sheet and grey sheet from this era. But don't forget that the grades as a rule have to be knocked down 2/3 of a point. I just use a full point in my analyses. Direct comparison is a no-no which is why so many dealers love to quote those prices as a basis to where the coins might end up today. But let's face it, a MS64 NM seated half in 1989 was worth $3000-5000. Today that coin is called MS65 and it's still worth $3800-5000. Not much has changed in reality. Don't expect the MS64 of today to magically jump to $4000 overnight as it would have made MS63 in 1989.

  • I couldn't agree with you more roadrunner. In fact this grade inflation masks the true increases in rare coin values over time.
