Players union vs. congress

I haven't followed this very closely so I will admit I don't know everything that is going on with the steroid issue. Watched Sports Reporters this morning and I am totally ticked off by the players union and the evil Donald Fehr. Does the baseball hiearchy care anything about the integrity of the game?

They are sitting before congress and will not admit that steroids are even a problem even if 95% of baseballl players are using them. THEY ARE ILLEGAL !! I have seen pictures of internal organs during an autopsy of someone that was on steroids and is was not pretty. Donald Fehr's only objective has been and still is to make the players more money and to hell with any of the other consequences. He and Johnny Cochran are peas in a pod.

We also see Bud Selig sitting beside Donald Fehr at the hearings. Looks like Fehr's little lap dog. Selig has shown time and time again that he has total disregard for the intergrity of the game. I think congress should step in and appoint a commisioner, since the sold called commisioner we have now just wants to appease the players union.

The total disregard for it's customers (the fans) has now reached another level. We have to put up with strike talks every couple of
years and now baseball is trying to cover up for the players that are cheating.

while I totally agree that something needs to be done
and that Selig is an idiot
and that the players union has too much power...

I Disagree that congress should be involved.

We need LESS government involvement in our lives,
not more! This is something that should be worked
out, and needs to be addressed, but the congress
has many other more important things to worry about
    right now besides baseball.

  • I agree that goverment is involved in our lives too much already, but baseball has clearly shown they cannot govern themselves.
