PSA customer service.....fishy

Ok- so even though I am new here and to PSA (Have been a BGS fan) I thought I would use PSA with the Feb. set special. So tell me what I have done wrong and what I should do.

I sent in the cards on the 28th of Feb. The delivery conf. states that PSA got them on the 1st of March. They still are not showing up on the submission update page. PSA is telling me that it could take a few more days to get them entered. It's been 2 weeks. Do they really have that many submissions that they are behind 2 weeks? Now they want a RB number to verify that they have the cards.

What should I do? Wait, shut my mouth and quit cryin about it or do I have a legit beef with them? Has anyone here ever lost their cards with them?

Any help would be great....

Thanks,

  • First you should read this THREAD about this topic
that helps explain the current problems...
    and this one...
    and this one...
    and this one...

but also read this notice from CAROL (psa employee)
    about The MOST IMPORTANT PART
for submitting an order, ESPECIALLY for
    orders with short turnaround times
    or specials!

Just a reminder for everyone out there.

Please mark the service level on the outside of the package where it is easily seen.
We've always asked that people do this but the majority don't.

The reason behind this, if you have an express order that is
clearly marked, the receiving department can grab that package first.

Also, we are doing everything possible to get caught up as quickly as possible.

  • I had the same concern and called PSA on Friday. It did not show on the PSA page, but the telephone operator was able to confirm that they have the package. According to this person, PSA scans the USPS insurance or delivery confirmation barcodes once they receive packages. If your online delivery confirmation shows the package made it to Newport Beach, I wouldn't worry too much. If you are still worried, you can call PSA on Monday.

I had an order that PSA recieved on Feb 19. They were not logged in the system until Feb 28. They must really be swamped. The good news is I have already got them back! It looks like after they are put in the system its taking about 5-10 days.

You could call PSA customer service and have them look you card up in their system by the USPS Tracking number on your package. I lost my submission number and they had the tracking number logged in along with the submission number.

  • Boy I must have really gotten lucky, I received an e-mail from PSA yesterday telling me my cards were checked in. I mailed them from Georgia less than a week ago.

  • Boy, they must really must be backed up! I mailed my package on Feb. 20, and they didn't check it in until Mar. 4! And I live hours down the coast from PSA! The good news is that I got my grades back on yesterday, and I used the cheap $8 economy service (30 day?)! So I guess I lucked out in time overall.
  • well, the bottom line is they
appear Only to be backed up in
    Logging the cards in.

So far, even checking all the many other threads
about this same topic, there does not
seem to be a single case of PSA missing
the deadline on getting the grades back
    by the deadline.

Therefore, I must conclude (as should we all)
that PSA Customer Service is in fact
    Not that "fishy" at all.

Good luck on your research bushwood,
but be assured that IF YOU USED REGISTERED MAIL
it will get there and dispite the initial delay
PSA WILL GET YOUR GRADES DONE QUICKLY!

  • Nothing fishy about it, just a business practice. PSA does maintain a commitment to the customer, ONCE the cards have been checked in. Sometimes the cards sit for up to 3 weeks after being delivered before being checked in. Once the cards are checked in that is when the "commitment" clock begins for PSA.
I am not saying I agree with this "policy" or "practice" but it is just the way it is.

Apparently those of us on the $5 registry special are being pushed WAAAAAAAAY to the back of the bus in terms of having cards turned around...

but we should not complain because they
are STILL getting them all out in the
time they said they would in the special!
(35 business days if I recall...)

  • My package was recieved on the 19th and they still haven't put them into the system. I guess for that $5 deal you have to play the waiting game. I have been told by CS that they are in the vault. Hopefully I see them in 35 days. We'll see and it's great to know there are more than one of us.
